How to Make Fruit Leathers

…Im away again. But there is a really good excuse for it this time.

I am showing you “how to make fruit leathers” at DIY natural!

Now don’t you want to learn to make these fruity rolls? They have no food coloring or sugar. yuck! These fruit leathers are “all natural”. Most importantly they are GAPS friendly!

I honestly think, this fruit leather recipe technique, is my BEST creation yet (according to my sister, brother, and the little kiddi-os I babysit). I will give instructions that are usable for any fruit! Each time I make this recipe (with a different fruit) the fruit leather comes out nice an chewy! Perfect 🙂

GAPS Apple Skillet Pancake

Where am I today?

Here are the supplies I use…

Ingredients:

6 pastured eggs
½ cup coconut milk (canned/boxed or homemade)
4 medium apples
¼ cup ghee or coconut oil
¼ cup coconut flour
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp vanilla honey or (2 T honey + 1 tsp vanilla extract)

 

Unseasoned cast iron pan (I prefer to season it myself because most companies use soy or corn oil to “season” theirs.

Life’s too short…

I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend!

I just wanted to pop in and say Happy September! Wow..I can’t believe the fall month has begun.

What is your favorite thing about fall?

Mine is the smell of falling leaves. ahhhh, I can smell them just thinking about it.

To celebrate the last few days of summer (before school starts) I made a batch of GAPS chocolate chip cookies. mmmm…warm gooey cookies! Don’t worry, I will share the recipe soon enough. Here is a fun little quote I though you might all enjoy 🙂
